The Velo Cafe Brighton is fast becoming the go to destination for events in Brighton. It only seems that it opened the other day but the list of events and support for our community keeps growing.
Tomorrow night they are showing the live stream of Jens Voigt hour record attempt plus a talk from round the world record holder Julian Sayarer. Click More to see the details.
Their website says:
Join us at 5.30pm when we will have a live stream of Jens Voigt’s Hour world record attempt. Voigt will attempt to beat the world hour record, challenging the current mark of 49.7km, set by Ondrej Sosenka in 2005. Grab yourself a drink and watch his world record attempt.
Once the stream has finished (6.45ish) we will be hearing from Julian Sayarer about his world record and his new book: Life Cycles.
In December 2009, Julian Sayarer broke the world record for cycling around the world. In June 2014, the book of that trip, Life Cycles, was published. It’s the world by bicycle, and a take on the many amazing cultures, sights and people you ride by on your way to 18,000 miles.
The book will be available to buy for £9, and there will be an opportunity to chat to Julian about his adventures.
If it’s anything like the previous events, there will be cold beer, great company and inspiring tales.
